General Admission Requirements
Minimum Academic Requirement
A minimum of five (5) credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), National Examinations Council (NECO), National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Required Subjects
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry or Biology
- One other relevant Science, Technical or Commercial subject
The required credits shall be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Language
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Required Documents
- SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB result(s)
- Recent Passport Photograph
- Valid National Identification
- Letters of Experience (if claiming priority)
Direct Entry
Applicants possessing relevant National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Bachelor's Degree, or other recognised technical qualifications may be considered for Direct Entry, subject to: transcript evaluation, course equivalence, competency assessment where necessary, and approval by the Academic Board.
Note: Direct Entry admission shall not exempt any student from mandatory practical training, competency assessment, capstone project, or supervised industrial attachment.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The Institute may recognise prior learning acquired through formal education, vocational training, professional certification, or relevant industry experience.
RPL is based on evidence of competency and may include: transcript evaluation, portfolio assessment, practical demonstration, written assessment, professional interview, or workplace evidence.
Credit awarded through RPL shall comply with NBTE regulations.
